Case story
Slurry transport line optimisation
To accommodate a new range of products, the existing slurry transfer line required an upgrade to meet increasing capacity, enhanced hygienic design standards, reduce waste losses and handle products with higher viscosity.

The process
Process Engineering NL was responsible for the design of the upgraded slurry transfer line, covering process design, basic and detailed process engineering, as well as 3D design and all related engineering activities outlined below.
At the start of the engineering the existing installation was scanned to collect the 3D environment for the design.
Pressure loss calculations were performed using advanced CFD simulation techniques.
We also developed the preliminary project implementation plan and prepared the Capex budget estimate.
All work was carried out in close cooperation with the customer’s project team to ensure seamless integration and alignment with project goals.
Service and scope of the project
- Development of P&IDs
- Technical and 3D drawings of the optimal solution to achieve the ideal situation
- Technical specifications of all core modules and material list
- Process calculations, including CFD simulations
- Capex estimation and identification of potential suppliers
- Scanning of the existing installation
