Financial and schedule management for the new plant for the production of milk powder and infant formular
One of Process Engineering’s competencies is financial and schedule management, which is an important element in project management. It ensures a visible structure, creates overview of all the activities and solves the planning tasks, and it is an essential part of the project’s decision basis. An example of a project where we have handled financial and schedule management is at an acknowledged project house, which provides turnkey solutions to their customers all over the world. For a customer, who produces sustainable food for the food industry and who had to expand the plant in their factory in Ireland, the company was responsible for setting up an entire new plant in the existing factory.
Process Engineering delivered resources to the project house for handling the project’s finance and time schedule. One of our employees worked as planner and controller and collected information from various departments and sub contractors, so the project manager could predict and prevent delays with financial consequences.
The project lasted over a year and a half and was carried out both from the site in Ireland, the customer’s office and our own office in Sorø. For almost a year, our employee worked from the site in Ireland and worked closely with the client with weekly status meetings and monthly presentation meetings with the management to review project status, finances, schedule and any adjustments. At the same time, there was also close collaboration with several different suppliers. During the period when the project was solved from an office in Denmark, there was contact via online meetings to continuously coordinate the work.
