Project description
Design of the district heating system on Amager Bakke, which is a new energy facility focused on the environment, advanced design, equipment and a waste incineration facility with production of district heating in Copenhagen.
The process
Process Engineering handled the design of the entire district heating facility on Amager Bakke and also acted as a sub-supplier to B&W Vølund. The facility connects the condensers from the turbine to heat exchangers and the external district heating supply, which also includes component refrigeration. The heat in the residual condensate is transferred through heat exchangers to the district heating network (the district heating facility in Copenhagen).

Service and scope of the project
Our service and the scope of the project include:
- Design of pipe systems
- Dimensioning and strength calculation
- Stress-strain analysis of all pipes
- Calculation and construction of galleries/steel structures
- FEM analysis of steel structures
