Project phases

Project description
This was a project for the biotech company Glycom, which has developed an ingredient that can be added to breast milk substitutes and strengthen children’s immune system to the same degree as can traditional mother’s milk. The project included reconstructing and making ready existing production facilities used for production of feed for ingredient production for food.
The process
Process Engineering was the main consultant concerning process, electricity, automation and construction. The project took 18 months and was organised in phases that were planned in order to ensure adherence to the time schedule. The project was planed and implemented in close partnership with the client’s specialists within the process areas and through a form of cooperation that allowed the fastest possible decisions about the project.
The planning and the design phases were implemented at a joint project office in Fredericia where the project manager, engineers, draughtsmen and specialists from Process Engineering and the client’s specialists were able to implement all design tasks through a joint effort.
