Process Engineering expands its business in the Netherlands

28 January 2025

Nearly three years ago, we opened its first office in the Netherlands in Den Bosch as a part of our growth strategy. Since then, the staff has grown from three to seven employees and has had projects for several major clients. Now, the time has come to expand the business once again.

February 1st we open another office, which will be located in the Heerenveen area. Next to that, a new Country Manager also will start from that date.

Heerenveen and the Friesland region, where the city is located, are known for their dairy industry. There is a high concentration of companies in the food and processing industries, which aligns with our areas of expertise. This makes the region attractive to us, enabling us to be closer to both our clients and potential employees. At the same time, we can now cover the Netherlands both in the north with the Heerenveen office and in the south with the Den Bosch office. This positions us well, and I look forward to expanding our activities and adding another office in the Netherlands.

Ny Country Manager

Since May 2024, Kees Boon has been Interim Country Manager, but as a part of the new office opening, Kees will henceforth take on the role as Department Manager for the Den Bosch office. Erik Kuiper will step into the position as Country Manager.

Erik Kuiper has a background as a chemical engineer and has worked for companies such as Teijin Aramid, FrieslandCampina, Tebodin, Paques and Filtrair.

I have worked my entire career in the area of supporting the process industry in getting more control and predictability on their processes – and that is also the heart of what Process Engineering is doing. The company’s Scandinavian touch, experienced base and drive made that I wanted to be a part of Process Engineering. With my experience in various industries, countries and fields of work, I like to further strengthen the Dutch branch. We will continue to help the industry to innovate and stay competitive – regardless if they are start-ups or well established

The premises for the Heerenveen area have not yet been finalized, but the office will officially open on February 1st, when Erik Kuiper takes up the position.
